Messaging Your Coach

Messaging Your Coach

Send a direct message — with photos, files or a voice note — to your coach.

Getting here: two ways — through Areela, or via the “…” menu (bottom-right) → Chat.

Open a chat with your coach

There are two ways to reach your coach:

  • Via Areela — on the Areela screen, ask “Can you message my coach?”, then tap the Message coach button Areela shows you.

  • From the menu — tap the “…” menu (bottom-right), tap Chat, then on the DM tab tap your coach.

Both open the same direct conversation (“Start a conversation — send a message to your coach”).

Send a message

Type in the “Start Typing…” box and tap the send arrow.

Your conversations: the DM tab lists all your chats — your coach is marked with a Coach badge, a red dot means unread, and ticks show when your message has been read.

Notifications: you'll get a notification when your coach replies, and they're notified when you message them.

Privacy: your conversations with Areela are private to you — your coach can't see them (and their own Areela chats are private too). Only the messages you send in the coach Chat are shared with your coach.

Send a photo, file or voice note

  • Tap the + to attach — Camera (take a photo), Gallery (choose an existing photo/video) or Document (send a file).

  • Tap the mic to add a voice note.

Files your coach sends you

Your coach can also send you files in the chat — a document (e.g. a PDF), a photo or a video, such as a plan or a form-check clip. Tap it in the conversation to open or download it.

Also in Chat: a Communities tab holds group spaces your coach has set up (e.g. “Premium client space”, “Getting Started”). See Communities.
