Add Journals & Automatic Tracking

Add Journals & Automatic Tracking

Choose what each client tracks in a base program — and let the wearable log some of it automatically.

Journals are the third part of a base program (alongside Activities and Fuel). You choose which journals to turn on from a large library, organised into categories. Some are logged by the client; others are picked up automatically from their wearable. You can also create your own.

Turn journals on

  1. In a base program, open Journal Entries and tap Adjust.

  2. Browse the library — filter by category (see below) or use the search bar — and toggle on any journals you want the client to track.

  3. Tap Set to save your choices.

Tip: the All tab shows everything; the Active tab shows only what's currently turned on.

The categories

Journals are grouped so you can find the right ones quickly:

  • Automatic — picked up by the client's wearable without them entering anything — for example steps.

  • Medication — for example tablets, nicotine.

  • Health — for example bowel movements, joint pain.

  • Hormonal — for example HRT, body-odour change.

  • Lifestyle — for example social media, working late.

  • Mental — for example learning, flow state.

  • Nutrition — for example breakfast, added sugar.

  • Recovery — for example foam roller, ice bath.

  • Sleep — for example CPAP machine, ear plugs.

  • Supplements — for example iron, fish oil.

  • Custom — create your own entry for a client (see below).

Automatic tracking

Journals in the Automatic category are pulled straight from the client's connected wearable, so they're tracked without the client logging anything. The more of these you turn on, the fuller the picture the app builds — which is especially useful during the learning phase.

Create a custom entry

  1. Tap the + icon to open Custom Entry.

  2. Give it a name (for example "calcium tablets"), choose whether it's a Metric Entry (and select the metric), then tap Create.

Base program vs client: what you set here applies to the base program the client follows during the learning phase. Once a client is assigned, you can adjust their journals individually from their profile — see View and Adjust a Client's Program.
