Build a Workout: Freestyle
Build a Workout: Freestyle
Build a workout in conversation with Que, your AI assistant.
Freestyle is one of the four ways to build a workout when adding activities to a base program. Instead of working through forms, you build the workout by chatting with Areela. Areela covers the same sort of ground as the Step-by-step method — experience, goal, structure, length and focus — but in a more personal, conversational way, often asking a few things at once and recommending options as you go.
Getting here: the process is the same as the Manual and Step-by-step methods up to the point where you choose a build method. In your base program, go to Activities, press Adjust, tap the + icon, then select Freestyle. (See Create a Base Program for the full path.)
Chat with Areela
In your base program, go to Activities, press Adjust, tap the + icon, and choose Freestyle.
A chat screen opens and Areela starts the conversation.
Answer Areela's questions. It asks about the same things as Step-by-step — the client's experience level, goal, workout structure, length and body-part focus — but conversationally, often bundling a few questions together and recommending options you can accept or change.

Review and create
When Areela has all the answers, it summarises the workout and lays it out in writing so you can clearly see what it has created.

Review it and tweak anything you'd like to change before agreeing.
When you're happy, press Create. You'll be taken back to the base program menu with the workout added. From here, carry on setting up Fuel and Journal entries as covered in Create a Base Program.
