Check ins Overview

Check ins Overview

Your regular check-in with your coach — a quick chat with Areela.

A check-in is how you and your coach stay on track between sessions. On a schedule your coach sets (for example weekly), Areela has a short conversation with you about how your week went, then passes it — along with your data — to your coach, who reviews it and replies.

Starting a check-in

When a check-in is due you'll be prompted, and you can start one any time from the “…” menu (bottom-right) — tap Check in. The Weekly check-in opens with Areela saying hello (e.g. “How are you doing today?”). Tap Let's start your check-in to begin.

The conversation

Areela asks a handful of questions about your week and you answer in the Reply bar — type or tap the microphone to speak. It already knows what you've logged, so it asks about the things that matter, such as:

  • your nutrition — hunger, how closely you stuck to your plan, any unplanned meals, snacks or alcohol

  • your training — how sessions felt and any personal bests

  • your activity — steps and daily movement

  • your energy and overall progress

  • your health — any illness, pain or niggles your coach should know about

Just answer honestly in your own words — there's no form to fill in, and Areela will follow up where it helps.

Progress photos

You can add progress photos at any point during the check-in — tap the small photo icon at the top-right of the chat — and Areela will always remind you at the end too, so you won't forget.

Either way, upload your latest Front, Back and Side photos and tap Save. They're optional, but they give your coach a lot to work with.

Finishing up

When you're done, Areela asks if there's anything else you'd like to add before it passes everything to your coach. Add a final note if you like, then tap Done. You'll see your check-in is complete and has been sent to your coach for review.

Your coach then reviews your week and replies — often a short video (or a voice note or message). It arrives in your Chat: open Chat (your conversation with your coach) and tap play to watch it. You'll be prompted again when your next check-in is due.

Already done it? If you open Check in again after submitting, you'll see “You're all caught up. We'll let you know when it's time to check in with your coach.” — there's nothing more to do until your next one is due.

Looking back at your progress

Your answers and photos go to your coach, and your numbers keep building over time. On your dashboard (your photo, bottom-left) you can look back over your own progress photos, and just below them tap Health to review your weight and health trends — that's also where you can connect a wearable or app to sync your data automatically.

Powered by Areela: the check-in is a real conversation, not a questionnaire — Areela reads your logged data first, so it only asks what it can't already see.
